Inventory and Equipment

Kaito's inventory comes in two parts: there's his 'main equipment', which he typically has with him at all times, and then there's his 'secondary equipment'.
His main equipment consists of his sword, shield, and power bracelets, along with the 'Pirate's Charm' which Astral left him.
Of his secondary equipment however, he can only take three items at a time. In addition to his bags, the items he can carry vary considerably, and are each listed below.
More often than not, Kaito will be carrying the Wind Waker as one of his three objects, but no matter what, a note will be made of his 'current inventory' at the start of a thread or post he takes part in.

Main Inventory
![]() | Master Sword The Master Sword, the Blade of Evil's Bane, is a legendary weapon supposedly carried by the original Hero of Time into battle against the servant to Don Thousand, 'Black Mist'. As a sacred blade, only a few can wield it--either Kaito is one of those few, or the Blade being drained of power has made this possible. Hero's Shield This shield is extremely old, and it's been in Kaito's family for generations. It looks like it could break any moment, but it's extremely sturdy, defending against almost any attack! Power Bracelets Recovered from the depths of Fire Mountain Island, Kaito's bracelets grant impressive strength--with seemingly no cost! While it doesn't apply when it comes to hitting, or punching, the Power Bracelets allow him to lift enormous boulders, and also catch blows of equal force! It takes a bit of effort still, but that's no less impressive! Pirate's Charm - |
Secondary Inventory
![]() Telescope | This is Haruto's telescope. Haruto lent it to Kaito for his birthday, but given the events that followed, returning it was obviously rather difficult. After he was rescued, Haruto would send a letter to Kaito saying he could borrow the telescope a little longer however. |
![]() Sail | This thick sail-cloth is typically used with the Lord of Gold Dragons, but if pressed about it, Kaito will admit to also using it to sleep in while on the seas. It's cold out there! It's marked with what looks remarkably like a mix of the Barian insignia and a 'breeze'. |
![]() Wind Waker | The Legendary baton which once belonged to the King Jinlong himself, and used to conduct the Sages as they played music for the gods, this is the device that was passed to Kaito to aid in his quest. Thus far, Kaito has learned all the melodies he'll ever come to know for this device. When it is used to conduct these tunes, a sound similar to that of an echoing choir is made. |
![]() Grappling Hook | This was given to Kaito by Rio, after he broke her out of the enemy prison hold constructed near the top of Dragon Roost Island. According to Rio, it was once used by her people's ancestors before they had wings, when their bodies were yet ill-suited for the hot climate. The grappling hook allows Kaito to latch onto certain branch-like things, in order to swing or climb over obstacles. Supposedly, he could use it to steal things from his enemies as well, but that probably won't work as well here. It also doubles as a salvage arm when used in conjunction with the Lord of Gold Dragons! |
![]() Deku Leaf | Presented to Kaito by the Great Deku Tree of Forest Haven, this leaf is as close to Korok flight as he's ever getting! It takes 'magic power' to use its power for gliding however, and that stuff doesn't come back quick! Able to blow gusts of wind as well, the leaf is enormous--it's almost as big as he is! (At least it folds up though.) |
![]() Boomerang | Kaito found the Boomerang within the Forbidden Woods, where he was searching for Alit, the Korok. The boomerang will always return to him once thrown, and is able to not only stun enemies, but also smack up to five targets in one go! ...At least, as long as the boomerang can do it in a single arched path. |
![]() Bombs | Initially severely over priced, the Bomb-Master of Windfall island lowered his prices after a run-in with Astral's band of pirates. Aside from being used as normal bombs--destroying stone and clearing pathways--Kaito can also use these bombs as ammunition in the Lord of Gold Dragon's cannon! |
![]() Hero's Bow | The Hero's Bow was taken from the Tower of Gods, as the tool for which he would need to face the Tower's guardian. It's a hand bow, easily operated by someone his size, and with a keen eye he can send both normal arrows, and arrows imbued with magic, toward targets at a fair distance away. |
![]() Fire & Ice Arrows | Technically these are the same arrows--however the magic imbued in them was granted to Kaito by the King of Fairies; it allows him to shoot arrows of Fire, which will melt the coldest ice, and arrows of Ice, which freeze the hottest flame! It takes a fair bit of magic to do so, however. Being struck by these will either light one aflame for a few moments, or freeze them for a few seconds. |
![]() Skull Hammer | This enormous hammer was recovered from the Forsaken Fortress on his second siege. Despite its huge size, it's apparently relatively easy for Kaito to lift, which is extremely fortunate--the hammer can crush small objects, and can also be used to exact a fair amount of force against his enemies. |
![]() Iron Boots | The Iron Boots were recovered from the caverns under Ice Ring Isle, and while they seem relatively useless on a land full of oceans, they're actually extremely important. When wearing the iron boots, his speed is brought down to a heavy footed slow-walk of course, but because of this, he can stand against the fiercest of gales! |
![]() Bottle | Kaito has four of these, and each one is enough to hold two servings of soup! ...If you're determined. Other thing too, like fairies or fireflies, but shhh. Bottles are a rarity where he's from, and very important--at least, the ones that don't break for ANYTHING, are. Obviously, Kaito can only carry one bottle per 'inventory slot' at a time. |
![]() Deluxe Pictobox | After going through a series of challenges set by a rather... Interesting photographer, Kaito managed to make the dusty Pictobox he found a 'Deluxe Pictobox', capable of taking colour photos! He has three cards filled right now, and he's hesitant to replace them--if someone gave him more cards though... |
